This lunchtime event features presentations from two guys who have written extensively about the cities of Liverpool and Manchester – and who have an opinion on what the future looks like for these two major Northwest powerhouses.
Prof Parkinson CBE was the author of ‘Liverpool on the Brink’ and ‘Liverpool’ Beyond the Brink’ and he has advised decision makers across the UK and the EU on urban regeneration.
Andy Spinoza, as a journalist and then media agency owner, saw first-hand the rising of Manchester from the doldrums of the late 70s, through to the beginning of its revival via the Hacienda and MADchester, and ultimately its renaissance into the capital of the Northern Powerhouse. His new book ‘ Manchester UNSPUN' é um reflexo fascinante da jornada de Manchester.
This invitation only event will reflect on the writings of both men – and inevitably lead to a conversation about what next for both cities.
