Over recent years, the Manchester City region has found itself coming up against some significant challenges brought about by changes in the economy and in consumer choices and habits.

As Council Leader, Bev Craig’s main focus has been on Manchester’s continuing ambitious COVID recovery, the importance of building a more inclusive and sustainable economy, for example she has championed the City’s continuing work to become a Living Wage City.

Her vast experience makes her the perfect choice to speak on the most pressing issues facing the region today and how various sectors can work to overcome challenges.

With the right approach and support, Downtown firmly believes that businesses and individuals can overcome the challenges facing them in today’s climate and work together to create a better more prosperous city for all.

Com base em sua experiência trabalhando não apenas como líder do conselho, mas também como a liderança do portfólio da Greater Manchester combinou a autoridade para a economia, negócios e crescimento inclusivo, ela fornecerá uma visão única e empoderadora do suporte necessário para as duas empresas que operam em mais de 336 = 33 anos e mais que trabalham em geral. 2007 com um diploma em política e história moderna. About the Speaker:

She graduated from Manchester University in 2007 with a degree in politics and modern history. After graduating from the University of Manchester she began her career in local government, later gaining a postgraduate in Local Government Management from Warwick Business School and a MA in public policy and governance from UoM, both whilst working full time. She has held a range of jobs across local government, higher education and working for the trade union UNISON leading on social care.

She was appointed as deputy leader of the council in May 2021 and then elected Leader of Manchester City Council in December 2021.

Before this, she was first elected in 2011 as a Burnage Councillor. She held a range of responsibilities on Manchester City Council, including serving for 4 years as Executive Member for Adult Social Care, Health and Wellbeing and inclusion services, during which time she led the Manchester’s COVID health and community response, manging the crisis and focusing on a more equal recovery.

Ela também atua como vice -presidente da Manchester Health and Care Comissioning Supervisioning Recursos, Programas de Capital, Valor Social e Digital.
