A group of business leaders have established ‘Team Liverpool’, which will campaign to get the city centre moving again post-COVID crisis, in a safe and secure manner.
Co-founder Frank McKenna, chief executive of Downtown in Business, explained:
“Team Liverpool acredita que o centro da cidade será o catalisador de recuperação econômica para o Liverpool e a região da cidade em geral. O grupo se reúne para incentivar as pessoas a voltar às pessoas que retornam aos trabalhadores e também que tivessem que tenham o que temos aqui. “Although we all recognise that there will be a more blended approach to working practices moving forward, with some staff continuing to work from home at least for part of the working week, we are also keenly aware of an increasing number of people who are desperate to get back into the office; to meet up with their work colleagues and to enjoy the great things that Liverpool city centre has to offer.”
Team Liverpool will be offering free advice and support for businesses who want to ensure that they are compliant with the latest health and safety requirements relating to COVID regulations and launching a campaign that will be urging people to get vaccinated and take regular lateral flow tests as the economy begins to open- up again from next Semana. Downtown in Business, the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce and Pro Liverpool are also looking to host a joint-Team Liverpool event later in the year.
