With the UK roadmap on track and Covid restrictions being lifted Downtown Liverpool in Business hosted its first live event of 2021 at The Pullman Hotel, Kings Dock on Tuesday 18 TH MAIO 2021. Topics discussed on the day included how they adapted to the pandemic, the reduced customers through the venues and what they could do to increase peoples confidence in travel once again.
Suzanne Grant pointed out that Merseyrail had been running at 10% capacity and the recent roadworks have deterred people from coming into the city centre altogether.
John Irving was optimistic about the cities future, commenting ‘the airport will survive and thrive once again’.
Other topics discussed included Merseyrail moving to a contactless card payment system and the loss of international football travel.
