This year’s walk takes place on Saturday, 25th April, from 9 pm. For the first time ever in what will be the charity’s 12 TH Walk in the Dark, todos os participantes receberão uma camiseta ao se inscrever, bem como uma bolsa de boa e uma medalha de Walking Walk. £ 50.000 para nos ajudar a financiar nossos projetos para melhorar a jornada de tratamento de pacientes com câncer em Lancashire e South Cumbria. Dan Hill, Rosemere Cancer Foundation’s chief officer, said: “Walk in the Dark is the single most important event to us in our yearly fundraising calendar. Last year’s walk raised £50,000 to help us fund our projects to improve the treatment journey of cancer patients throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria.
“We are incredibly grateful to Eric Wright Group for its continued sponsorship, which covers our staging costs. This means that all entry fees and any sponsorship money walkers raise can go directly to helping patients.”

Walkers are invited to dress up in fancy dress to help give the event a carnival atmosphere. They are also invited to display the names of loved ones they may be walking in memory of. There is no time limit to crossing the finishing line but on finishing, all walkers are greeted with hot drinks and warm bacon or vegetarian barms. Cars can also be left at the Royal Preston Hospital for collection at the finish as there is a free shuttle bus service to take patients from there to the Chorley start.
