Sue Hutchinson, partner at Beever and Struthers, will chair the event and co-present with Michael Ormerod, executive director of Groundwork Greater Manchester and Chris Rigby, director and regional director of Wardell Armstrong.
Michael also chairs the Groundwork Federation Executive Team and sits on the national Groundwork Federation Board, while Chris is a ground engineer with more than 30 years of experience in the UK and internationally.
Key issues that arose at a previous Forum event on Environmental Impact included how lockdown and remote working had created a positive environmental impact with less travelling, commuting and business waste, alongside recent changes to city centres to accommodate social distancing and minimise traffic.
Areas to be discussed at the forthcoming event include travelling less to reduce a firm’s carbon footprint, transport issues in general, utilities, waste and the challenge of staff returning to an office amid ongoing health concerns about using public transport.
Other North West Business Leaders Forum events hosted by Beever and Struthers discussed COVID-19 related issues such as collaboration, people – the management of flexible working, community and society, strategic leadership, infrastructure and business resilience and continuity.
Sue Hutchinson said: “Beever and Struthers has organised these informal forums for business leaders to share experiences, to allow us to work together to overcome some of the key challenges brought about by COVID-19 for the North West and consider how we can move forward and thrive in the new normal.”
