The white paper offers recommendations to help manufacturers eliminate unnecessary complexity by following ten steps that will improve performance by reducing waste, avoiding errors, and making life simpler for employers and employees.
Adam Buckley, Leadership and Enterprise Excellence Coach – The Manufacturing Institute, said: “There have been so many great examples of manufacturers pulling together this year to help people through the challenges presented by COVID-19. Whether that’s been distilleries switching their production lines to sanitising gels, major engineering and aerospace firms mass-producing ventilators, or textiles firms turning focus towards hospital gowns and facemasks.
“The Festival of Manufacturing Excellence will be an opportunity for those in the sector to celebrate such achievements and to look in the mirror and reflect on best practice from recent months. This is a chance for manufacturers to come together so that we can rethink, retool and restart operations in the most effective way possible, as we continue responding to the global impact of coronavirus.”
