Downtown in Business Liverpool crowned some of the leading female entrepreneurs from across the Liverpool City Region at the Women in Business Awards 2022, this year sponsored by leading local independent jewellery business, Say it With Diamonds.
Over 300 leading business personalities gathered at The Crowne Plaza Liverpool City Centre to celebrate the achievements of the city’s incredible female entrepreneurs.
The awards, hosted by BBC presenter and the latest Downtown chair, Jacey Normand, celebrates the finest female-led businesses, the established and up-and-coming entrepreneurs, and the women who make the most valuable contribution to the growth of the Liverpool City Region economy.
The big winners on the day included Dr Natalie Kenny from Biograd Diagnostics, Sue Wright from Harrogate International Advisory and Hazel Walker from Glenville Walker who took home the Woman of the Year, Chair’s Award and CEO Award respectively.
Commenting on the awards, Downtown CEO and Group Chairman, Frank McKenna said; “After an incredibly tough few years, it is fantastic too see the amount of entrepreneurs in the city region who are all doing incredible things for the city.
“Liverpool has an abundance of female entrepreneurs as shown by the quality of not only the winners today, but all the nominees. And none highlight the drive and determination shown by these incredible businesswomen more than today’s headline sponsors Say it With Diamonds.
“Charlotte and Steph have created an incredible business in a relatively short space of time, and it was great to hear from the journey of Say it with Diamonds from Charlotte.
“A huge congratulations to all of todays winners on their well-deserved awards and a big thanks you to all of our sponsors and event partners who helped to put on another fantastic Downtown event.”
