Contato envolvido

Salford’s renaissance over the past decade has been nothing short of remarkable. The development of Media City has acted as a catalyst for the regeneration of much of the city – and it was clear that for Dennett and Stannard, the progress has only just begun.

The Greater Manchester skyline tells its own story, dozens of working cranes dominating Salford’s landscape. It was telling how many in the DIB network who were sat around the dinner table at the city’s outstanding 5-star Lowry Hotel, are already engaged with the place.

BDP, Morgan Sindall, Mansell Building Solutions, and Deloitte were among the guests who were able to talk about their positive experiences of working in Salford and with the city council.

Clearly keen to continue momentum and develop partnerships with the private sector, the mayor outlined a vision of a well-connected city that could provide opportunities for its indigenous community, whilst attracting investment from the rest of the UK and beyond.

New housing developments, an expanded University, a growing digital sector, and the continued expansion of media city look set to drive Salford on to bigger and better things.

Already boasting the fastest growing population in the UK, it was difficult to argue with Stannard’s assessment that “this is Salford’s time.”

Tom Stannard will be one of the speakers at the Downtown in Business national Property, Planning & Regeneration conference, which takes place in Birmingham on Thursday 9th February 2023.
