The appointment comes at a pivotal time of growth for Azets, as the business looks to double total revenue to become a \u00a31bn firm by 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On his appointment,&nbsp;<strong>Gurj&nbsp;<\/strong>said:&nbsp;<em>\u201cI\u2019m delighted to be taking on the role of Regional Managing Partner for Birmingham, as we continue to grow in the region. I\u2019ve worked with the Birmingham business community for a significant number of years now and understand the challenges the local marketplace faces.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Azets\u2019 Birmingham office was established five years ago, and the next five years look even more exciting. Our foundation of strong partners has been crucial in our growth to date and we have big ambitions to triple revenue in this office over the next five years. As such, we will continue to grow our fantastic team of partners to meet the needs of our expanding business.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>We will also look to bolster our core teams, which includes accounting, audit, tax and business advisory services. The future at Azets is really exciting, and I\u2019m looking forward to what\u2019s ahead!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With over 15 years of experience, Gurj is also the National Head of Capital Allowances, a specialist area of tax that focuses on maximising tax relief for capital-related property projects. Gurj advises across a broad range of clients and sectors, including property investors &amp; developers, leisure &amp; hospitality, manufacturing and private healthcare businesses. He is a dual-qualified chartered surveyor (RICS) and chartered accountant (ICAEW).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gurj\u2019s appointment comes after three promotions at Azets\u2019 Birmingham office, including&nbsp;<strong>Joel Fentem<\/strong>&nbsp;to Associate Director,&nbsp;<strong>Tiffany Clarke<\/strong>&nbsp;to Senior Manager and&nbsp;<strong>Raphael Camillo<\/strong>&nbsp;to Senior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Richard Goddard, Regional Managing Director of Azets Central and West<\/strong>&nbsp;added: \u201c<em>Despite the challenging economic background, as a region, we continue to go from strength to strength thanks to a collaborative approach from our teams and clients.
