{"id":87969,"date":"2024-04-30T15:55:00","date_gmt":"2024-04-30T14:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/downtowninbusiness.com\/?p=87969"},"modified":"2024-04-30T16:43:35","modified_gmt":"2024-04-30T15:43:35","slug":"sleep-out-with-nugent-2024-successfully-raises-15000-39","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/downtowninbusiness.com\/news\/2024\/04\/30\/sleep-out-with-nugent-2024-successfully-raises-15000-39\/","title":{"rendered":"Sleep Out with Nugent 2024 successfully raises \u00a315,000.39!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The event, sponsored by Krol Corlett Construction, a leading construction company with a strong commitment to social responsibility, took place on Tuesday, April 16th at the Merseyside Maritime Museum, Royal Albert Docks, Liverpool. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sleep Out saw thirty two participants from a range of businesses, as well as Nugent colleagues, come together to spend a night sleeping on the colonnades to experience just a fraction of what it\u2019s like to be homeless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The evening also held several competitions to keep spirits high including the Best Shelter competition and highest fundraiser!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The funds raised from the Sleep Out will be directed towards addressing homelessness in Liverpool, with a particular focus on supporting the initiatives of Nugent&#8217;s Future Now\u2019s Accommodation pillar. This pillar aims to provide crucial assistance to individuals fleeing domestic violence, care leavers whose funding stops after age 18, and anyone who finds themselves in a vulnerable position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nugent have a long-standing history of providing essential services and support to individuals and families facing various challenges, including homelessness, poverty, and residential services. Through initiatives like the Sleep Out, they continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those most in need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Simon Krol, Director of Krol Corlett Construction said, \u201cAs a company deeply rooted in the Liverpool community, we are proud to support organisations like Nugent in their efforts to tackle homelessness and provide vital support to those in need.
