The leader of Liverpool City Council, Cllr Liam Robinson, will be the keynote speaker at this years Downtown in Business City of Liverpool Business Awards, which take place on the evening of Thursday 3rd July at the stunning Sefton Park Palm House.

DIB boss Frank McKenna said:

“I am delighted that Liam can join us for this years COLBAS. It is always a fabulous night, where we celebrate the best in the business from across our wonderful city, and it will be good to hear his thoughts on the future of Liverpool’s economy.

“There is certainly more optimism within Liverpool’s business community in recent months, not least because of the new leadership at the Town Hall, and the number of major strategic developments that are now being brought to the market.

“Liam has, of course, played a key role in that turnaround, and it was no surprise that he was awarded the honour of Council Leader of the Year for the excellent job he has done in the city.”

The event, which sold out in record time, is sponsored by the Liverpool BID Company and the City of Liverpool College.
